17th March 2020 (sent via email to our newsletter group):
You'll already be aware of yesterday's government announcements made in relation to Coronavirus.
We have had to make some difficult choices and decisions in order to offer clarity and calm to our customers, social groups and team.
To this end, we will postpone the following workshops with immediate effect:
Sampler Quilt with Aileen (tonight, March 17th, 4 sessions remaining)
Straight Talking Stitchers with Aileen (tomorrow, March 18th, 3 sessions remaining)
Shirt/Blouse Workshop with Victoria (Thursday 19th March, 2 sessions remaining)
Daytime Dressmaking Club (Monday 23rd March, 3 sessions remaining)
Beginner Quilting (Monday 23rd March, 2 sessions remaining)
Backpack Workshop with Victoria (Wednesday 25th March, 1 session remains)
Easy Charm Square Quilt (Saturday 21st March)
Overlocker Basics (Saturday 28th March)
"Sit & Sew" with Victoria (Sunday 29th March)
Dressmaking Crash Course - Sew a Stevie Top or Tunic (Saturday 18th April)
Easy Jelly Roll Quilt (Sunday 19th April)
Teatime Social Crochet (Tuesday 21st April)
We will release rescheduled dates/times for the missed classes directly to you via email in the first week of April, to allow for this ever-evolving situation to take clearer shape. If further adjustments are needed, we will notify you in due course.
We will miss the friendly contact of these classes as much as you will, so we are planning some fun things to offer social support to our crafty groups and we will keep you updated.
In another important adjustment, we will introduce a temporary change to our our opening hours for both Sew Yarn Crafty and The Sew Studio.
Starting this coming Monday 23rd March, we will open both shops 7 days a week, but with adjusted hours of 10am - 2pm.
We believe this will offer longer-term stability for our team and customers, but also the opportunity to continue with your hobbies while we all live temporarily quieter lives. We still appreciate every purchase that you are in a position to make during this challenging situation.
In a little bit of brighter news, we are using our unexpected downtime to get an online shop up and running - WATCH THIS SPACE!
Thanks as always for supporting our business,
Aileen, Tristan, Victoria, Rachel, Shirley, Gillian & Taylor @ SYC and Sew Studio
